It's more of a gourmet experience. Expensive for dishes that are beautiful and tasty, but there are a lot of "buts." The welcome was cold, the atmosphere cold; you even feel like you're being spied on. The dishes, when you walk into a so-called gourmet restaurant and pay €79 for the three-course meal, are disappointing. The pairings aren't up to par, and the aperitifs are served late, so you end up drinking your spritz with the hors d'oeuvres. It's too much of a struggle to find alternatives for allergies that were already mentioned when we made the reservation. And we're still waiting for our coffee, which must have been charged when we did the math back at the car... what a shame.

Unfortunately, we didn't have the same experience as the previous reviewers. After a somewhat hesitant welcome, we waited an hour and fifteen minutes to be served. The dishes looked beautiful, but mine arrived cold while my wife's (scallops) was hot. After being taken to the kitchen, mine came back lukewarm, but my wife had already finished hers because they didn't take both dishes back. The rest of my meal followed the same pattern: lukewarm. After speaking with the waiter, it seemed they were overwhelmed. The wines were offered to us as a gesture of goodwill. The experience was ruined. We were staying three nights at the 5-star hotel and had planned to eat there in the evenings. The first night was a complete disaster, leading us to discover some good restaurants in the nearby town.

Once you step inside, you're transported. The welcome is warm and friendly. The menu is varied. The meats and fish, cooked to perfection, melt in your mouth. The presentation of the dishes is remarkable, both in terms of their presentation and the flavors they deliver. The wine list is comprehensive, featuring rare gems from both well-known and lesser-known châteaux. An exceptional culinary experience.

We stayed at the hotel so we tried this restaurant at the first night. The chef is so creative and indeed the food was fantastic with reasonable price. We took the menu of the day. The service is great just right for the hotel standard.

The welcome was very professional. The service definitely needs improvement. They should serve the wine without spilling a few drops on the table or the base of the glass. They should also avoid overcharging customers by €30. Alexandre Saget's cuisine is very refined, inventive, and perfectly executed. Customers thoroughly enjoyed it.

From the moment we walked in, we could feel the refined, exclusive atmosphere that defines a true gastronomic restaurant. The elegant interior, the soft lighting, and the attentive staff immediately set the tone for a memorable evening. We were warmly welcomed and felt genuinely looked after throughout the meal. The staff was incredibly professional and attentive without being intrusive, a perfect balance that made us feel relaxed and valued. My wife, our young son, and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The dishes were beautifully presented and full of flavor, showcasing seasonal ingredients with creativity and finesse. You could tell that every detail, was thoughtfully considered. If you're in Pau and looking for an elevated dining experience in a serene and elegant setting, I highly recommend Le Jeu de Paume.
