La PIAZZA pau

Finally, a good Italian restaurant in Pau!!! The pizzas are amazing, the setting idyllic (under the arches of Place Gramont), and the best part, the fries!! Double-fried in beef fat!! We rediscovered the taste of Belgian fries. And that's coming from a Belgian 🙂. I highly recommend it 👌

Best restaurant since I've been in Pau!! I didn't know it before, and frankly, it was excellent! I had a pizza and two scoops of ice cream, and honestly, everything was excellent! The price is also reasonable and reflects the quality of the food! The service was perfect! The waiters and waitresses were super friendly and pleasant! On top of all that, I'm Belgian, and I've finally found a restaurant that makes real fries! In short, I recommend it 100%!

I didn't know this restaurant at all. A wonderful discovery! It's been open for a long time and serves excellent Italian food. The service is quick, and the ingredients are fresh and imported from Italy. Next time I'll come and try the carbonara, the REAL one! ^^ Thank you and see you soon.

Excellent pizzas, generous and well-balanced. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. I regularly get takeout. Remember to order before 8:30 pm because after that, priority is given to dine-in customers. I find this pleasant for dine-in customers who don't have to deal with the constant coming and going, drafts, and can enjoy the peace and quiet.

Great restaurant. Excellent pizzas, especially the octopus one. Charming and very kind owners. One small drawback: the terrace is a smoking area, and since the tables are quite close together, it's really unpleasant. As this is the owner's prerogative, could you please make the terrace non-smoking? Thank you.

Fantastic find! Excellent pizzas with a thin, crispy crust and delicious, high-quality ingredients! The service is top-notch! I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.

Good pizza with a thin crust, friendly atmosphere and service

Pizza not very big. Green salad €4 for practically nothing. A bit disappointed…

Excellent meal! We tried the pizzas and the lasagna, and everything was delicious! Don't miss the tarte tatin, which is also very good. The atmosphere was lovely, calm, and pleasant. The service was quick and efficient, and the waitress was very kind. Thank you!

The pizza is very good, however, the service is very disappointing! 1. When we asked to sit on the terrace, the waitress clearly didn't want to seat us. Her lack of enthusiasm was obvious, which made us feel uncomfortable from the start. 2. If you come as a couple and want to order just one pizza, be warned: you might be asked to leave the establishment, as happened to us. Apparently, there's now a rule that two people must order two dishes. What are you supposed to do when one pizza is more than enough for two? We didn't want to overeat and we only ordered four slices each. What's particularly frustrating is that on our previous visit, we were served just one pizza without any problem. This time, we were asked to leave and had to order takeout. This situation really ruined our day. 3. The menu states that the pizza is served with arugula, but the kitchen forgot to put it on ours. Was it because we were forced to get the pizza to go? Do we have to be one of the "privileged customers" who stay inside to get arugula? The pizza was excellent, but the service disappointed us so much that we have no desire to go back.

Exceptional, very good Italian restaurant under the arcades on Place Gramont. Very welcoming, nothing to complain about.
