Au País

The set menu was very simple (charcuterie as a starter, salsify omelet and Basque cake), good and fresh, but only 3 stars because unfortunately it was served in very small quantities for a price that was rather high compared to the average of €21 without wine or coffee.

Lunch stop near Pau in the beautiful village of Morlaas. A very pleasant bistro opposite the lovely St. Foy church. A very warm welcome. And a big congratulations to the young chef, heir to a family of cooks. High-quality cuisine featuring local farmers. From appetizers to desserts, everything is homemade and excellent. We loved discovering this new spot. Especially since the prices are very reasonable. €17. Everything was perfect. Thank you.

I came to eat there on Thursday, March 26, 2026, and what a fantastic discovery! Everything is perfectly executed: flavorful, generous, and well-accompanied dishes with a real healthy touch. You can taste the fresh, high-quality ingredients. All served with great friendliness, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. Unbeatable value for money, worthy of bistronomic cuisine. I highly recommend it.

We arrived in town specifically to eat at Au País, although we were a little late. The service was excellent. I'm not very good with languages, and one of the waitresses went out of her way to explain things to me. Thank you! 🫂 This place has a wide and reasonably priced menu; you can order a full meal or individual dishes. There's a parking lot next door. They also have board games. Afterward, you can take a stroll around town to walk off your meal. I hope to return another day.

Restaurant where I really enjoy having lunch; the daily specials, starters and desserts are always excellent for a reasonable price.

Great place for a break, friendly staff

Great little restaurant-bar, very friendly, the food is excellent. Delicious, simple, and incredibly tasty meals. The set menu, from starter to dessert, is only €17. I love coming here to have a good time. The manager is very friendly, and so is the staff. Highly recommended! 🤗

A small restaurant offering simple and delicious cuisine. Even the homemade biscuit served with coffee is a nice touch. The price is more than reasonable: €17 for a starter, main course, and dessert. The atmosphere is understated and relaxing. The service is quick, and the owner is very respectful of his staff. Not to be missed!

Lovely restaurant/tavern with live music, a terrace, and a children's play area. The staff are charming and the food is great; we'll definitely be back if we're in Morlaas again!
