Bistro Régent LESCAR

I regularly eat at this bistro and I'm never disappointed. Whether it's meat or fish, it's always delicious, especially with their unique sauce. Salad. Unlimited fries—my daughters love them!

Yum! 😋 An excellent place, where the prices are attractive considering the quality of the food. The only downside is that the wait can be a bit long, as there were only two servers on both of our visits. The restaurant is ideally located! Right in the middle of a shopping area, which is a real plus. I would definitely go back to Bistro Régent.

The meat dish was very good, with a nice sauce, a good dessert (Crème Catalane), a good rosé wine, and good service. But what a shame to present what was essentially an undercooked loaf of bread—or rather, a white dough—and pass it off as bread! Please reconsider. Thank you.

Appalling service. The waitress looked at us very haughtily, didn't even turn around to check if there were any seats, and immediately told us there weren't, treating us like idiots because several tables were empty. It's great to see that this establishment doesn't need customers. And madam: change professions; customer service requires a minimum of courtesy.

Overall, it's a good restaurant, with a simple and effective menu and quality products. The weaknesses, in my opinion, are the following: The non-alcoholic cocktails—the one I had was just a simple diabolo with a little passion fruit syrup—are a bit overpriced at €6.50 a glass. The second point. The bistro burger was very good, but it's a shame you can't choose how you want the meat cooked. Nothing too serious, but I believe that any constructive criticism is always welcome when, like you (manager and staff), you're striving for customer satisfaction.

The waitress/receptionist was unpleasant because we arrived late for the time stated in our reservation. It's true that I had a little trouble finding the place; it's quite hidden. You have to go into the Quartier Libre parking lot, and Bistrot Régent is at the back; I only saw the illuminated sign later. I thought it was on the Bayonne road, but further along. The restaurant still had customers seated, and service wasn't finished. It finishes at 10:00 PM, and we were there at 9:30 PM.

The welcome was good. The meal was good. However, we didn't like their sauce at all. It wasn't their fault, but it's a shame they didn't offer it in a small bowl on the side. The meat was swimming in it, and we couldn't finish it. A pity. On the negative side: dirty straws. The plates we were served on were already placed on a warming plate on the table. The waitress took them to light the warmer, then another waiter took them to place them on the table. A bit...not great.

The waiter was very unpleasant, not a smile, no desire to be there! He turned us away because there was no room, but we made a reservation while we walked around the parking lot, and magically, there was space!
